  5. BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  7. Please read the README.FIRST file - found at the root level of this server - 
  8. for general information and instructions on unarchiving and uncompressing
  9. files (files with the ".sit", ".hqx", ".zip", ".tar", and ".Z" extensions).

  11. The README.BROCHURE also contains helpful descriptions of this and other
  12. software offered on the ftp server.

  15. NCSA TELNET
  16.  
  17. The following directories are available for Mac Telnet:
  18.  
  19. Telnet2.4.02:  This directory contains the official UPDATE release of Telnet
  20.      2.4.  This version fixes two major bugs with Telnet.  Fonts now are
  21.      displayed correctly, such as with Monocco 10.  Also, the KCHR map problem
  22.      is fixed, making Telnet once again fully compatible with applications such
  23.      as Hypercard.  This fix also works correctly with foreign keyboard
  24.      mappings.  Included in the directory:  the MacTCP version of Telnet, the
  25.      NCSA version, and the source code update.

  27. Telnet2.4.02docs:  Contains the documentation for Telnet 2.4.02.

  29. Telnet2.5:  This directory contains the release of Telnet
  30.      2.5.  This version fixes several major bugs.  Refer to the README in
  31.      that directory. Contains MPW source as well.

  33. Telnet2.5docs:    Contains the most recent documentation for Telnet.
